My annual photo safari to the Rocky Mountains is coming up, and now is the time to join this special trip. From Sept. 29 through October 3rd, I’ll be leading a very small group of select photographers to the alpine lakes and high country roads around Estes Park, CO. Breaking: One Space Now Open for South Dakota
Due to a late cancellation, I’ve got an opening for my photo safari to South Dakota June 2-6th. I will be joined by Deborah Sandidge as a co-instructor for this immersive landscape photography experience in some pretty amazing environments.
In addition to photographing some amazing locations, we’ll also have classroom time, where Deborah and I will teach you the art of creative post-processing. We’ll cover black and white, HDR, and infrared photography. Speaking of IR photography, we’ll be bringing a few extra IR-converted cameras for you to use on the workshop!
If you’d like to join us, please visit the Luminescence of Nature Photography Meetup page.
Nik Software HDR Workshop in Denver April 13
Join me for a day of hands-on HDR photography at the Forney Transportation Museum in Denver, April 13th. I’ve teamed up with the good folks at Front Range Photography to arrange this class, limited to 20 photographers. We’ll have special tripod access before the museum opens to the public, so we can photograph the antique cars, motorcycles, and trains with the intent of capturing HDR images. After the shoot, we have a classroom set up where you’ll be able to download your images. I’ll then show you how to create stunning HDR tone-maps using Nik Software’s HDR Efex Pro 2.0 plug-in. I’ll also demonstrate finishing effects for HDR images with other plug-ins, like Color Efex Pro 4 and Silver Efex Pro 2.
To register for this class, please visit the Front Range Photography Meetup Page.
